Photoreal footage
DomoAI shines at stylized looks. For lifelike, cinematic shots, realism-first models can be a better match.
Compare results and costs
DomoAI is strong at anime, restyling and talking avatars — but it isn’t the best fit for every project. Here’s how seven popular AI video tools compare on what they’re good at and what they really cost.
Based on each tool’s main focus. Always test with your own footage.
DomoAI shines at stylized looks. For lifelike, cinematic shots, realism-first models can be a better match.
DomoAI is built for short-form. Some tools offer longer single generations or stronger editing timelines.
Credit systems differ a lot. A cheaper plan can be better value for simple, high-volume clips.
Beat-synced music visuals, dance motion transfer or pro editing tools may matter more than restyling.
Plus DomoAI itself, so you can compare like for like.
Stylized video studio: anime and cartoon restyling, image and text to video, talking avatars, lip sync, upscaling and an API.
Gen-4.5 and Gen-4 models plus a creative toolset aimed at filmmakers and agencies.
Fast, playful generation and effects built for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, with access to multiple models.

Luma’s own and third-party image and video models in one credit pool, plus Luma Agents on higher tiers.

Expressive motion at a low entry price, with daily free generations.
Puts any character into a reference motion — dances, memes and templates — and offers real-time character swap.
Where each tool is strongest, based on its main focus and public reviews. Results vary with your inputs — test before you commit.

Credits aren’t comparable between tools — each one charges a different number of credits per second, model and resolution. Prices change often: confirm on each official pricing page before buying. Sources listed at the bottom of this page.
The sticker price isn’t the whole story. Here’s how to estimate what you’ll actually spend.
Divide the plan price by the seconds of video it buys. Example: Runway Standard ($15) covers about 52 s of Gen-4.5 — roughly $0.29 per second.
Most creators need 3–5 attempts per final clip. A 5-second clip at $0.29/s costs about $1.45 per try — so $4–$7 per keeper.
Watch for credits that expire (Kling’s free credits last 24 h), length caps (Hailuo Standard ≈ 6 s) and commercial-use limits on cheaper tiers (Pika Starter).
Pick what you’re making most often.
Dedicated anime and cartoon restyling, “subject only” mode and style transfer from a reference image. Runner-up: Viggle for dancing characters.
Video to anime →Realism-first models with natural camera motion. Kling is the budget pick; Runway adds pro editing tools; Luma bundles several models in one plan.
Best AI video generators →Both are built for Shorts, Reels and TikTok with quick templates and effects. Pick DomoAI if you also want anime looks and talking avatars.
DomoAI templates →Audio-reactive Beat Sync and a canvas workflow made for music visuals. DomoAI works well for anime-style loops and lyric videos.
2.5D music loops →Talking avatars from photos, anime art or mascots, with lip sync up to about a minute on Pro. For corporate presenters, look at dedicated avatar tools.
Talking Avatar →The lowest entry prices plus daily free credits for testing. Note the watermark on free output and shorter clips on entry plans.
DomoAI free plan →All three offer developer access. DomoAI’s API focuses on text-to-video, image-to-video and templates with per-second credit pricing.
Domo API →One photo, one short clip and one prompt — identical across every tool.
Most tools offer a free tier or trial. Spend those before subscribing.
Judge consistency, not one lucky result.
Faces, hands, flicker, motion, style match and render time.
Use the estimator above to work out cost per finished clip.
Pay monthly for the first month, then switch to yearly once you’re sure.
It depends on what you make. For realistic footage, Runway, Luma or Kling; for quick social effects, Pika; for music videos, Kaiber; for character dance videos, Viggle; and for the lowest entry price, Hailuo or Kling. For anime restyling and talking avatars, DomoAI itself is usually the strongest choice.
Hailuo’s Standard plan starts at $7.99 a month and Kling’s Standard plan at $10 a month (less when billed yearly). Both also offer daily free credits, though free output is watermarked.
Several tools have free tiers: Kling and Hailuo give daily credits, Viggle allows a few free videos a day, and Runway gives 125 one-time credits. Free output is usually watermarked and not licensed for commercial use.
Not directly. Each tool charges a different number of credits per second, model and resolution. Compare the cost per second of finished video instead — the estimator on this page shows how.
DomoAI is the most specialized for anime and cartoon restyling. Viggle is a good companion for putting anime characters into dance or meme motions, and Pika and Kaiber can produce stylized results too.
Often — AI video tools update plans and credit costs several times a year. The prices here were checked in October 2026; always confirm on the official pricing page before you buy.
Official pricing pages checked October 2026: DomoAI, Runway, Pika, Luma. Kaiber from Kaiber Help Center. Kling from eesel.ai (June 2026). Hailuo from CostBench (July 2026). Viggle plan structure from Flowith (March 2026). Prices change frequently — always confirm before buying.
